the Guayadeque Gorge
The Guayadeque Gorge is one of the most beautiful landscapes
of Gran Canaria that stretches from the coast near Agüimes to theisland's
center ascending from 400 m to 1300 m in height.It was declared a Natural
Monument due to its valuable treasures: apart fromthe rich flora and fauna,
there are many caves that were inhabited by theindigenous people, these
caves are still inhabited nowadays and there have beennumerous archaeological
findings, a large part of them are in the newly builtArchaeological Museum
on the Gayadeque Gorge.
